Frederick McCubbin, was an Australian painter of note. With a number of others, he founded the Australian Art Association in 1911. Louis McCubbin (1890-1952), son of the above, was also a successful artist. President of Victorian Artists' Society 1933-1935; Director, National Gallery of South Australia, 1936-1950.
